This organization encompasses vector and cell line engineering, upstream and downstream process development, analytics, and clinical manufacturing support.
The cell culture process development group is responsible for viral vector production optimization and development of next generation production platforms to support high dose therapeutic products.

Main Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will work with his/her supervisor to design, plan and conduct cell culture experiments to investigate how process parameters modulate product quality attributes and process performance.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work both individually on cell culture experiments as well as part of the larger cell culture team to support group project work.
- The candidate will develop a diverse skill set in cell culture development platforms potentially including seed train development, media development, high throughput techniques, benchtop bioreactors, etc. as these skills pertain to process development.
- The candidate will develop an understanding of cell culture processes and how to use this understanding to address process optimization problems within the context of development, characterization, and scale-up of cell processes for AAV development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in biology, chemical or biochemical engineering, biotech, data science, informatics, or related degree by the Spring 2027
- Must be enrolled in school the semester following your co-op with Sanofi.
- Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op.
- Must have permanent US work authorization
- Logical and critical thinking skills.
- Innovative problem solving.
- Ability to work in biosafety level 2, follow safety procedure, and maintain good laboratory.
- Academic training in handling big data, data science and machine learning is highly preferred
- Some familiarization with sterile technique highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture/aseptic techniques.
- Able to work independently and in collaboration with others.
