What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Excellence Lead-Oncology position at Sanofi?
The Sanofi Genzyme Commercial Excellence Lead – Oncology is responsible for overseeing the execution of all Market Insights, Forecasting, Analytics for the oncology TA. This role will work in partnership with the oncology global team and relevant business operations and supports functions to support the key initiatives and programs of the brand plans and identifying opportunities for enhancing TA performance.
The role will act as the main point of contact of the TA with the Business Operations partners to ensure a high level of service, appropriate resourcing and prioritization of deliverables. The role notably will play a critical role in leveraging tools that are getting developed in business operations (analytic engines, CRM etc.)
Reporting into the Head of Commercial Excellence, he/she will align with the therapeutic area dedicated resources to the brand roadmap and work directly with Business Operations management to ensure deliverables are achieved. The ideal candidate must engage and influence without authority in the functionally organization Business Operations team beyond market insights (notably marketing excellence, launch support, centres of excellence etc.).
It is also expected that the role will role in close collaboration with the market access function for oncology, especially for exercises relative to forecasting and planning.
Job Responsibilities
- Overall accountability to establish direction for the prioritization and execution of Business Operations objectives for oncology.
- Manage the Quarterly Business Review process for Business Operations activities. Ensure clear, measurable goals are established, understood and executed against by each functional resource supporting the brand.
- Lead budget, forecast and strategic plan submissions for Business Operations and support for Oncology.
- Support the S&OP process in terms of monitoring levels of supply compared to forecast estimates
- Participate in Leadership meetings, providing Insight and Operational expertise.
- Create opportunities for efficiencies in brand performance through process improvements, vendor leverage and data analysis, partnering with the brand to implement solutions and track ROI.
- Implement the framework and processes to maintain and manage service level agreements with our internal and external key partners.
- Maintain the appropriate level of experienced resources to support oncology ongoing portfolio of business and technology driven projects and programs.
- Aligning to a common framework and set of guiding principles shared with Business Operations and Support.
- Support the Head of Global Operations Access and the head of market insights in strategy development, execution of organizational plans, proactive preparation of management reports and LT support.
- Collaborate with colleagues in similar roles, cross-business unit to ensure best practice sharing and effective leverage of support teams
- Provides leadership and direction, establishing a culture and work environment that attracts, retains and motivates a diverse, skilled workforce.
- Maintain a strong culture of expertise in the fields of forecasting, business analytics, market research and competitive intelligence.
- Manage a team of expert resources in market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting and analytics of at least 3 individuals
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Basic qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 10 years experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals

- Demonstrated leadership ability to drive change within an organization, cultivating support and maximizing contribution from team members
- MBA Preferred
