Main Responsibilities -
- Data analysis: The scientist will utilize advanced bioinformatics tools and techniques to analyze large NGS datasets, including V-genes, and B-cell transcriptomic for antibody discovery and development. The ability to use antibody sequence data and associated properties to train predictive and generative ML-models will be considered as a plus.
- Data integration: Integrate diverse biological data for clone selection from early to late-stage antibody discovery. In-charge of maintaining data in the respective databases and accessibility during requirement.
- Molecular biology: The scientist is required to contribute in the development of new innovation in molecular biology of antibody cloning, expression, and NGS library.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior scientists in data analysis and molecular biology.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the immunologists, protein engineers, and molecular biologists to translate bioinformatics findings into actionable insights for therapeutic development. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Communication: Present research findings clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and at scientific conferences. Prepare detailed reports and publications.
Preferred qualifications -
- Education: Ph.D. in bioinformatics, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in antibody research or bioinformatics within an academic or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools for sequence analysis, structural modeling, and machine learning applications.
- Familiarity with antibody engineering techniques and therapeutic development processes.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
