Global Discovery Pathology and Multimodal Imaging (GDPMI) team based in Cambridge, MA is committed to delivering project-focused solutions for all Sanofi research projects by providing integrated expertise in translational / comparative pathobiology, specialized histology, and innovative cellular, molecular and ex vivo / in vivo imaging through our agile, empowered, and collaborative team. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Scientist (Histotechnology and Molecular Pathology) to join our team. Main Responsibilities :
- Independently perform histological work including tissue trimming, processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining for preclinical and research projects, following laboratory SOPs.
- Work closely with pathologists, scientists, and management to execute approved procedure for individual projects and accurately document newly implemented protocols.
- Run automated tissue processors, autostainer and perform digital whole slide scanning, perform routine lab inspections, quality control of equipment and processes, and diligently troubleshoot technical operational issues.
- Provide histology support for molecular assays (IHC, IF, ISH) and spatial technologies.
- Communicate with internal and external collaborators to manage prioritization, timelines, samples collection, accurate registration and tracking in our LIMS.
- Provide study progress through active communication using our department project management tool.
- Support laboratory operations and outsourcing.
