Main Responsibilities
- Support multiple therapeutic programs by working closely with project head(s) to plan and execute key experiments ranging from cellular assays to formulations
- Isolation, phenotypic and functional characterization of primary human and mouse cells
- Design, develop and execute in vitro cell based assays (DDS potency assays, cytokine release, proliferation, activation, cell killing etc.)
- Formulation of various drug delivery systems (DDS) such as lipid-based nanoparticles, polymeric particles or nanogels
- Characterization of biomaterials (e.g., loading and encapsulation efficiency, size and charge evaluation)
- Analyze and interpret data and draw conclusions to help decide next steps
- Document all protocols, experimental data and results in electronic notebook with accuracy and timeliness
- Present data and conclusions in regular group and larger cluster meetings
- Contribute to daily laboratory activities (including procurement and organization)
- Work in BSL2 environment
- Prepare publications, research, and clinical/regulatory documentation in accordance with the Sanofi quality standards
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering or a related field in the life sciences with 1-2 years relevant research experience in industry or academia
- Basic knowledge of pre-formulation, formulation, and aspects of drug delivery
- Working knowledge of cellular biology/immunology
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the biotech/pharma industry
- Lead authorship or co-authorship of peer-reviewed publications, patents and presentations
