GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):
- Responsible for providing support to Operations and maintaining a safe working environment for all associates, while maintaining the equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):
1. Maintains a safe working environment and provides support to Operations such as replacing parts, creating new parts and conducting preventative maintenance to keep all equipment running safely. 55%
2. Supervises the maintenance department. 15%
3. Provides solutions for continuous improvement and resolving customer concerns. 5%
4. Focuses on eliminating/reducing down time and scrap. 5%
5. Audits internal management systems in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 requirements. Assists with all procedures and training in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 and support environmental management systems 5%
6. Assists maintenance associates in achieving departmental measurable. 5%
7. Ensures plant layout is completed and follows lean techniques when installing new equipment. 5%
8. Maintains records on repairs and parts usage. 5%
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).
- High School education. Associates degree preferred in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years’ experience in Engineering or Maintenance field
- Maintenance experience should include: pneumatics, electronics, electrical 3 phase, mechanical skills, and general plant systems such as Plexus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).
- Knowledge of electrical controls and usage
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of pneumatic controls and usage
- Knowledge of hydraulic controls and usage
- Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Basic financial knowledge
- Ability to design and fabrication of equipment
- Good MS-office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Plexus skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Good planning and organizational skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills ( written and verbal communication, listening, etc.)

REQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT (Describe the typical types of decisions made by employees in this job and the likely impact of those decisions on the Company).
- This position will require approval through the Maintenance/Engineering Manager for any decisions which may have an impact on the company.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (Indicate job titles for this job’s supervisor and direct reports).
- This position reports directly to the Maintenance/Engineering Manager.
- Direct reports include maintenance associates.
WORKING CONDITIONS (Describe the environment within which the work is performed).
1. Will split work time between office and Production floor (50%/50%)
2. Equipment will have dirt, grease, oil etc. build up on them in specific areas.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Will be on call 24 hours per day
2. Will travel to other facilities and tool shops to assist and review new equipment as needed
3. Ability to work varying levels of overtime
4. Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility
