GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):
- Responsible for accurate audits of product being sent to customers along with performing necessary computer transactions.
- Responsible for the transportation and storage of materials, components and finished product in the shipping area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):
- Responsible for safe loading outbound trucks while also maintaining and performing accurate inventory counts in the inventory control system. Ensuring FIFO procedures are followed, and receipts are entered timely and accurately and/or also ensuring shipments are on time and match the bill of lading paperwork, noting any discrepancies. 45%
- Supports the production department by ensuring each process has the necessary product and/or materials to produce, by delivering the necessary dunnage and/or by removing the finished product from workstations to prepare for shipment per customer requirements, while ensuring FIFO procedures are followed. Responsible for scanning all components and/or finished goods materials to proper location to ensure physical location matches Plex location. 45%
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and accurate staging and/or storage area for finished goods by performing proper 5S procedures. 5%
- Read, understand and adhere to all job instructions for any production process for which the associate has been qualified on or is trained on to include forklift certification and all material handling function. (for example, hazardous waste/material handling procedures) 5%

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, procedures and policies.
- Understanding and adherence to Sanoh America’s company policies and safety procedures, specifically the ability to pass forklift safety and obtain license.
- Ability to use a handheld Radio Frequency (RF) system
- Solid computer skills, specifically ability to use the inventory control system.
- Obtain forklift certification.
REQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT (Describe the typical types of decisions made by employees in this job and the likely impact of those decisions on the Company).
- “Responsible for safe unloading of inbound trucks and/or loading of outbound trucks while also maintaining and performing accurate inventory transactions in the inventory control system …” – Maintaining accurate inventory transactions in receiving and shipping is critical to success of the business. Failure to perform accurate transactions could result in inaccurate raw material levels resulting in missed and/or short shipments thus resulting in not meeting customer expectations, leading to higher costs and the potential loss of sales.
- “Supports the production department by ensuring each process has the necessary product and/or materials to produce …” - If material service does not support the production department, production will not be able to meet demand and will not be able to make shipments thus will result in issues at the customer which will result in the potential of increased costs therefore affecting future business, profitability and the ability to conduct business.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (Indicate job titles for this job’s supervisor and direct reports).
- This position reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor from the Materials Team. This position does not have any direct reports.
WORKING CONDITIONS (Describe the environment within which the work is performed).
1. Production floor environment, wearing all required personal protective equipment per Sanoh America’s policies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Able to travel within the manufacturing area via main aisle ways with periodic entry to tight spaces for detail equipment review.
2. Full range of motion including the ability bend, stoop, lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
3. Ability to work overtime of varying levels.
