Base pay range

150,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr

Role Description

Our team is seeking a dynamic, experienced and values-driven individual to take on the role of Chief Financial and Operating Officer. This will be a full time, onsite position. The Officer will serve as a strategic thought partner and will be responsible for managing the Finance Office, as well as overseeing day-to-day Operational aspects. This person will be joining us at a time when our community is undergoing rapid change and they will be a key implementer for the vision we are casting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with our mission and values.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the organization's financial health.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold financial integrity.
  • Optimize internal processes and manage resources effectively to support our programs.
  • Collaborate with the Prioress General and Leadership.
  • Provide council in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy and hiring levels, shaping long-term planning.
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and faith-based service within the organization.
  • IT liaison with outside vendor.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Congregational Properties.

You are / have :

  • Self-starter with a great work ethic and analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Possess the initiative to create presentations and analysis to answer questions posed and look into the details to interpret the impact of key decisions.
  • Stellar time and project management skills; understand the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points.
  • A team builder; you roll up your sleeves and work alongside, not just delegate.
  • Strong communicator both verbally and written; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications.
  • High level of integrity and good judgement with the ability to efficiently deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related disciple; or 10 years of demonstrated progressive senior leadership, preferably within a non-profit or faith based organization.
  • 3 years of experience in executive level finance or operating oversight position.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations with a focus on efficiency, integrity and impact.
  • Commitment to our organization's mission and values.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and mentor not just delegate.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements to uphold financial integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
  • Experience with AccuFund a plus.
  • CPA or MBA in Finance is a plus.
