Position Summary: The SAP Testing Lead - PTP is responsible for managing and executing end-to-end testing processes within the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) module of SAP. The role includes overseeing the design, execution, and reporting of SAP test scenarios, ensuring that the PTP processes (from purchase requisition to payment) are accurately tested and aligned with business requirements. The Testing Lead ensures that SAP solutions meet quality standards, functionality, and performance criteria while minimizing risks during the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement detailed test strategies and plans for the PTP (Procure-to-Pay) process in SAP.
- Define test objectives, scope, and milestones, and ensure alignment with project timelines and business goals.
- Coordinate testing efforts across various stakeholders, including business users, functional consultants, and developers.
- Test Case Development:
- Create detailed test cases and scenarios for the SAP PTP module, including Purchase Order creation, Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, and Vendor Payment.
- Review and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Test Execution:
- Lead the execution of various types of testing (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT).
- Coordinate and guide the testing team to ensure all test cases are executed as per the testing schedule.
- Perform testing for PTP scenarios to ensure the processes are working as intended, with accurate results and error-free execution.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, track, and manage defects/issues during testing and ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with developers and functional consultants to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
- Ensure that defects are documented, communicated, and closed based on severity and impact.
- Risk Management & Reporting:
- Proactively identify risks during the testing process and work with project teams to mitigate these risks.
- Provide regular test progress reports and status updates to project managers, stakeholders, and business teams.
- Ensure transparency in testing results, including highlighting any risks or delays that may impact timelines.
- Test Environment Management:
- Coordinate and manage the test environments, ensuring they are set up and maintained for testing activities.
- Ensure that test data is prepared and available for testing execution in different SAP systems (e.g., Development, QA, Production).
