Planner/Buyer

Sansom Staffing has partnered with a   leading manufacturer of electric tugs designed to move heavy loads to decrease workplace injuries and increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Buyer / Planner Manager to purchase materials, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, manage inbound and intercompany logistics, ensure appropriate purchasing volumes and stocking levels, make economical sourcing decisions including strategic sourcing, manage on-time deliveries, and plan production and subcontracted work; key responsibilities include purchasing, maintaining purchased and subcontracted materials master data, managing inventory control systems, coordinating shipping and receiving processes of materials, production planning, and ensuring compliance with import regulations.

Salary : 85-90k

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and inventory master data as appropriate
• Coordinate and manage vendors and subcontractors and incoming freight lanes
• Manage inventory control, including monitoring stock levels and conducting regular audits.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts
• Maintain inventory records in the company’s system and ensure data accuracy.
• Seek quotations with new and existing vendors
• Work with Operations to optimize incoming materials timelines and dunnage
• Work with warehouse and operations to ensure timely receipt of materials
• Implement and maintain safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve processes.
• Work with production for production planning and subcontracted planning requirements
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
