At College Pines Health and Rehabilitation, our residents are at the heart of everything we do. We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for our 135-bed skilled nursing facility. As the Director of Nursing (DON) at College Pines Health and Rehab you will:

- Hold overall accountability for providing leadership, direction, and administration of day-to-day operations associated with direct patient care.
- Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel including nurses, medication aides, certified nursing assistants, and nursing aides in training
- Guide staffing procedures
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
- Control budgets and monitor expenditures within the department, including supplies and payroll
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed by completing performance improvement plans
- Manage record-keeping procedures
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Report directly to the Administrator
- Maintains a current/unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
- A passion for working with seniors.
- 1 years of nursing management in the long-term care industry with the experience to include hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
- Experience tracking, trending, and analyzing infection control and other clinical data.
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel.
- Great communication and people skills, including keeping a good rapport with surrounding hospitals and organizations.
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration with strong knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare.
