CNC Lead Machinist/Programmer

Job Summary:

A 20 year Company is seeking a skilled CNC Lead Programmer/Machinist to join our team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts to tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have experience in both programming and hands-on machining.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Create CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or others).

·      Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

·      Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce prototype and production parts.

·      Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.

·      Troubleshoot issues with machining and make adjustments to programs and setups as needed.

·      Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.

·      Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.

·      Understand and execute on Version control for setups

Qualifications:

·      Bilingual – English and Spanish

·      3 years of experience in CNC programming and machining.

·      Proficient in reading technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

·      Experience with Haas equipment.

·      Strong understanding of machining principles, speeds/feeds, and tooling.

·      Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

·      Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Preferred:

·      Certification or degree in machining, manufacturing, or related field.

·      Experience with 5-axis machining.

·      Familiarity with CAD/CAM integration.

·      Fabrication skills a plus.
