As a nonprofit organization motivated by our Christian faith, we believe in providing compassionate support, safe shelter, and transformative services to Santa Barbara’s most vulnerable communities. We are the only year-round emergency shelter between Santa Maria and Ventura providing essential services to those experiencing homelessness. Our 12-month long residential recovery program cares for the whole person at no charge to the clients, and we have had over 1000 graduates of our program that contribute to a large alumni network. Our programs offer individualized case management, guiding participants towards stable and permanent housing. Here’s What You Will Be Doing
As the Director of our Women's Treatment Program, you will be the guiding force behind our 24-bed residential treatment program, ensuring it meets and exceeds all regulatory standards. Your role will involve leading a team of dedicated staff, fostering a collaborative and positive atmosphere, and maintaining the highest quality of care for our clients. Specifically, you will:
- Provide leadership to staff and facilitate training that aligns with both best practices in treatment and the Christian faith-centered mission of the organization.
- Oversee program compliance with DHCS standards and ASAM level 3.1 requirements.
- Lead, train, and support a team of 5 staff members, promoting professional development.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
- Manage client intake, orientation, and ongoing care documentation.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and crisis intervention as needed.
You Need These Qualifications
- Personal integrity and Christian faith alignment with our mission and values.
- Certified or licensed in either clinical psychotherapy or drug and alcohol addiction (e.g., CADC, LAADC, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in leading drug and alcohol recovery programs.
- Effective conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to a client-centered, holistic treatment approach.
- Able to collaborate effectively with staff, clients, and external partners.
Desired, but Not Required Qualifications
- Experience managing long-term residential facilities and client behaviors
- Strong understanding of the needs of homeless and judicial system populations
