How You Will Make an Impact :
SCCHA is seeking to hire an experienced and passionate Housing Policy Analyst to provide administrative and analytical support for assigned federal and local housing programs. The Housing Policy Analyst will evaluate program policies, practices, and procedures, offering recommendations to enhance operations, policies, and processes. Key responsibilities include program-specific administrative works for various federal and local housing programs. The role also involves developing and maintaining comprehensive administrative records and fostering community partnerships to support program objectives.

What You’ll Do :
In this high-impact role, you’ll :
- Program Administration & Development : Manage federal and local housing programs, including grants and contracts. Plan, develop, and administer complex housing programs and projects. Participate in committees and present recommendations to the Agency Board. Develop and implement new or revised programs, procedures, and systems.
- Policy Analysis & Recommendations : Analyze policies, procedures, and operations; provide recommendations for improvements. Conduct operational studies on financial, regulatory, and administrative issues. Prepare comprehensive technical reports with alternatives and justifications. Generate reports for policy review and development.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison : Act as a liaison to employees, public agencies, private organizations, and community groups. Address complaints, provide program-related information, and recommend corrective actions. Represent the Agency at meetings with stakeholders, businesses, and regulatory bodies.
- Compliance & Reporting : Prepare program applications for funding and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Develop and submit memorandums, reports, resolutions, and correspondence for the Agency Board. Ensure contractors meet Agency standards and resolve contract-related issues.
- Research & Evaluation : Conduct research projects to evaluate service delivery methods and recommend improvements. Evaluate alternatives for operational and procedural changes, assisting with implementation post-approval. Prepare detailed reports and present findings effectively.
- Project Management : Organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks efficiently to meet deadlines. Monitor and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Interpersonal Relations : Foster positive working relationships within the agency and with external stakeholders. Use independent judgment, tact, and prudence in handling sensitive issues.
