What are the responsibilities and job description for the Games Inventory position at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk?
JOB SUMMARY: Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise in warehouse. Stock game inventory from warehouse. Fill in for Game Operator as needed. Incorporates excellent customer service into daily activities.
UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS: Wear company issued uniforms. Shifts start as early as 7: 30 a.m. Works 8 hours 5 days per week, including weekends. Must obtain certification to operate cart. Must be a minimum of 16 years old. Must be able to stay focused on the job. Ability to learn and apply cash handling procedures.
JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): - Deliver game inventory from warehouse. - Operate electric powered cart. - Stock game inventory from orders. - Receive, unpack, price and stock merchandise in warehouse. - Follow verbal and written directions to perform specific duties. - Perform tasks of Game Operator. - Remove trash and recyclables from the games - Assist in the station training of new employees. - Perform other duties as required.
RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL: All levels of Santa Cruz Seaside Company employees. RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL: Minimum interaction with guests.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Some knowledge or experience in warehouse operation is helpful.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Ability to obtain cart certification. - Ability to follow verbal and written directions. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Ability to communicate clearly both verbal and written. - Ability to learn cash handling procedures. - Ability to perform Game Operator tasks. - Ability to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to employees and guests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift 53 lbs. from ground to shoulder level.
- Able to use step ladder, climb stairs, and carry large objects.
- Able to move boxes which would include pushing, pulling, and stooping.
- Able to stand for up to eight hours at a time.
- Able to stand for up to eight hours at a time.
LICENSES AND INSURANCE:
Driver's License desired but not required unless trained for vehicle operations
TESTING:
May require a DMV printout w/good driving record if needed
