Range III: $34.65 – $38.40/per hour (Steps 1-3 on a 6-step salary plan)
Confidential Stipend: $190.75 month

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Superintendent, perform various complex clerical and administrative duties; prepare correspondences and maintain a variety of manual and automated records and reports related to assigned activities; coordinate communication and information; interpret policies and regulations to officials, staff and the public; coordinate various administrative meetings; maintain Superintendent’s calendar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The role involves performing complex clerical and administrative duties to support the Superintendent’s office. Key responsibilities include coordinating communication, scheduling meetings, and ensuring compliance with timelines. The position also requires:
- Board & Meeting Support: Preparing board agendas, recording and publishing meeting minutes, organizing meeting logistics, and ensuring venues are in order.
- Public Relations & Communication: Managing the district website, social media, and press releases; notifying staff of updates; developing marketing campaigns.
- Visitor & Public Assistance: Assisting visitors, directing inquiries, processing public records requests, issuing work permits, and handling transcript requests.
- Records & Reporting: Managing board appeals, handling sensitive student and parent information, tracking legal bills, and maintaining reports.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Maintaining calendars for the Superintendent and administrative staff, scheduling leadership and trustee meetings, and organizing special events.
- Procurement & Logistics: Processing requisitions, managing extra work agreements, sourcing vendors for catering, and arranging translation services.
- Presentation & Data Management: Assisting with presentation preparation, compiling surveys, and organizing data for reports.
- General Office Duties: Operating office equipment, driving for site visits, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
This position requires strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication to ensure smooth administrative operations within the district.
Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: an Associate degree in a related field and three years of professional administrative and secretarial experience involving frequent public contact.
