Job Summary
The English Language Development (ELD) Teacher will facilitate the acquisition of English for students whose primary language is other than English. Individuals must have successful experience working with culturally diverse schools; including families and communities, knowledge and skill in culturally responsive teaching and learning, and experience working with English Language Learners (EL) in a classroom setting. This position requires a commitment to and demonstration of equitable and inclusive practices in education and demonstrates an unwavering commitment to reducing academic disparities among students that exist because of race, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or family income. Additional duties may include case management, including monitoring of student progress and reclassification, organizing and conducting assessments such as ELPAC, and local and state reporting.
