Job Summary
To provide responsible nursing services within the Santa Cruz County Office of Education Programs which include Special Education Programs and Alternative Education Programs; to provide nursing services to students, staff, parents, districts, and the community; and to plan, promote, and conduct activities related to the effective delivery of school nursing services as assigned. Report to the Executive Director, Alternative Education
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in nursing. Experience: School site experience including recent experience related to professional nursing activities in school programs including nursing services to students, staff, parents, school districts and the community. License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California School Nurse Services Credential issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Valid Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California.
School Year: 190 days per year. Locations: This is an itinerant position. It will include travel to various SCCOE school sites. MA (pro-rated) stipend $1,500; Doctorate (pro-rated) stipend $400. Fully paid dental and vision insurance covering both employee and dependents. The employee is also provided with long-term disability insurance and life insurance. Medical benefits: There is an employee paid portion for medical benefits depending upon the medical plan chosen which covers employee and dependents. MUST SUBMIT RESUME; THREE LETTERS OF REFERENCE AND A COVER LETTER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
