What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Support Technician position at Santa Cruz County Office Of Education?
This position will be assigned to the Tech Division: Under direction of the assigned administrator, provide the SCCOE with microcomputer technology support, including installation, diagnosis, maintenance support and training; provide installation, diagnosis, maintenance and training support for the SCCOE’s telecommunications, audio/visual and networking environments. Exercise no supervision over County Office staff.
Travel across the county to different school districts and sites will be a requirement of this position.

Education: Completion of two years of college.
Experience: Two years of experience in an information technology environment involving microcomputers and telecommunication support. Additional technical experience of a similar nature may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the two years of college. Experience in on-sight installation, diagnosis, maintenance, training, and repairing of problems pertaining to all facets of microcomputer and data communications equipment. Experience in the installation and testing of network cabling systems, including: Ethernet and structured twisted pair cabling.
License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license and appropriate vehicle operation insurance.
