Santa Fe Recovery Center is a leading provider of substance use disorder and mental health treatment and education services. We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Santa Fe offices. We offer a competitive salary range from $45,760 - $49,920 (BOE) and the Benefits shown below. Reporting to the Health & Safety / Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance repairs to ensure a safe working environment for Santa Fe Recovery Center employees, clients, and visitors. Duties include ongoing maintenance and special projects for buildings and grounds at all facilities. The Maintenance Technician must have knowledge and experience in the following disciplines: General Electric, HVAC, construction, and plumbing. The Maintenance Technician must have computer knowledge and the ability to use MS Office and its components: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must be able to use handheld devices, phones, tablets, and radios.
We are looking for candidates with Maintenance skills and Health and Safety background experience. Preference will be given to individuals with experience facilitating drills, conducting inspections, and responding to work orders. Apply and join our team!
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (with some flexibility)
On-call for facilities open 24/7 (Local applicants highly encouraged!)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with daily operations to provide a safe working environment. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs a variety of maintenance and emergency repairs on the water system, irrigation and wastewater system.
- Completes routine plumbing repairs such as fixing water leaks inside facilities.
- Performs a variety of general and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of administrative facilities and grounds. Maintains exterior property, including weeds and snow removal.
- Performs maintenance projects, renovation/remodeling of buildings involving electrical, structural, plumbing, HVAC, plaster, drywall, carpentry, painting and equipment repair and replacement.
- Assists with custodial duties as needed.
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building equipment on a scheduled basis and maintains records.
- Assists with the arrangement of furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for special events.
- Repairs, maintains, inspects all equipment and amenities.
- Completes routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps, repairing ballast and light fixtures. Removes and properly disposes of all recyclable materials.
- Maintains an inventory of vehicles, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
- Identifies and uses appropriate materials and equipment to perform duties.
- Responds to emergencies during and after normal work hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Assists with all contractors installs/removals.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
All-around handyman experience including but not limited to:
- Safe operation of power tools hand tools and heavy equipment as needed. Operating equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, high and tight spaces including under houses or facilities.
- Ability to work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Ability to work around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, and paints.
- Familiar with basic Health & Safety workplace requirements.
- Works well with diverse populations.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal law and perform duties in accordance with SFRC Code of Ethics and Policies and Procedures.
- Must attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops.
- General electrical knowledge is required. (Switching out light switches, ballast, ceiling fans, electrical plugs, and electrical equipment.)
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as needed. On-call maintenance for all facilities, 24/7 (rotating shift).
- Must be available to run errands and help with facility operations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be computer literate using MS Office, Handheld Tablet, and Smart Phone
- HVAC knowledge and certification are preferred but not required.
- Locksmith knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Construction experience required to include drywall and stucco repair.
- Physically able to bend at the waist, sit, kneel, climb, walk, crouch, climb onto roofs using tall ladders, and push/lift up to 75 pounds as tasks may require
- Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver’s License. You must also have and maintain a clean driving record and auto insurance.
