Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist them with the intake process, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details, particularly focusing on Medicaid coverage.
- Accurately input patient data into electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, insurance benefits, and any necessary paperwork.
- Collaborate with office staff to streamline administrative processes and improve patient flow within the clinic.
- Provide support in managing office tasks such as scheduling appointments, running payments, handling phone inquiries, and maintaining organized patient files.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in using EMR systems and other office software applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Spanish speaking a plus but not mandatory
