Program Specialist, Dual Language Immersion (DLI)

Welcome to the Santa Maria-Bonita School District website. We are the largest school district in Santa Barbara County with about 17,500 pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students. In the heart of the coastal agricultural area, we celebrate our families and the support they provide to the students of the District. The District is comprised of seventeen elementary schools, four junior high schools, and one combined elementary and junior high. Teaching Credential required, and valid California Administrative Services Credential, or equivalent experience/education relevant to the essential duties noted above. Five years of teaching experience; BCLAD credential; Bilingual, in target language, required. Personal experience with the challenges and opportunities of learning a new language, preferred. Experience teaching and/or coaching in a dual immersion environment, preferred. Experience either providing staff development or participating in collaborative grade-level groups around data and instructional strategies.
