What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Assistant position at Santa Monica College?
Under immediate supervision, the position in this classification supports Facilities Programming by greeting patrons, assisting with seating, providing general customer service, and maintaining assigned areas for events or performances.
This recruitment will be used to create a temporary pool to work "as needed" assignments for special theatre productions. All assignments are limited to 90 working days. Days and hours are flexible based on performance schedules.

Education Requirement: Sufficient education to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Graduation from High School or GED equivalent is desirable. Experience Requirement: Six months of customer service, ushering or ticket taking experience with direct public contact is desirable. Education/Experience Equivalency: Experience and/or education of the same kind, level and amount as required in the minimum qualifications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
