Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in mental health and medical surgical nursing content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching / learning using evidence-based standards.
- Participate in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Contribute to systematic program evaluation reports and self-studies.
- Collaborate with peers to create a supportive learning environment.
- Commit to excellence in nursing education through professional development.
- Adhere to California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) regulations.
- Maintain office hours and potentially teach day, evening, and weekend classes.
- Engage in culturally responsive pedagogical strategies.
- Participate in governance processes and serve on college committees.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
