What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theatre Technical Specialist position at Santa Monica College?
The positions in this classification support the theater technical operations in at least one of three specialized areas which include: audio; electrical; and rigging for indoor stage productions and outdoor events.
This recruitment will be used to create a temporary pool to work "as needed" assignments for special theatre productions. All assignments are limited to 90 working days. Days and hours are flexible based on performance schedules.

Education Requirement: An Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts or a closely related field Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience in the set-up and operations of theatrical systems in at least one specialized area of audio, electrical and/or rigging. Education/Experience Equivalency: Experience and/or education of the same kind, level, or amount as required in the minimum qualifications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
