What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping (CBB) position at Santa Monica Family YMCA?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assures that all restroom facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily according to camp schedule. Properly record cleanings using posted log.

Does multiple daily visual inspections of cabins, dorms, and nurses station to check for cleanliness. Cleans as needed in the dorms or cabins and nurses station.

Performs light facility and equipment repairs as assigned.

Assure all cabins and dorms are cleaned immediately after each session.

Assure trash cans are emptied daily or as needed.

Assure all personal hygiene dispensers are adequately stocked according to camp schedule.

Assures use of proper cleaner for the surface being cleaned and that cleanser dispensers are functioning properly.

Keeps Utility Rooms clean, organized, and locked at all times.

Is available to assist with kitchen operation if needed.

Relates to other staff and guests in a manner which exemplifies our core character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Report unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment to Camp Big Bear Director immediately.

Maintain a professional working relationship with camp staff at all times.

Communicate all concerns with camp staff, lease group, and program participants directly to Camp Director in a timely manner.
