Child Development Teacher Floater - Pre-school, School Age and Infant Toddler Program

Must be able to write and implement an age-appropriate weekly lesson plan. Possess effective classroom management skills/techniques. Have the ability to provide a culturally responsive classroom that promotes a respective environment that assists with homework assistance, STEAM activities, and promotes a socially tolerant classroom. Understanding of student assessments and creating a classroom environment that ensures State compliance with the Desired Results Developmentally Profiles and SACER’s. Must be willing to collaborate and communicate with parents, the school community and the Child Development Team. Located in the scenic, sea-side communities of Santa Monica and Malibu, the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is a preK-12 school district serving approximately 8,835 students. Lincoln Middle School has earned the Gold School designation in 2015 and is one of nine schools recognized as a California Distinguished School. The others are: Franklin, Grant, McKinley, Roosevelt, Will Rogers, and Webster Elementary Schools, and Malibu and Santa Monica high schools. Valid California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher. A.A. degree in Child Development or related field. Bachelors Degree is preferred.
