We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Coordinator to support our human resources department at our Hodgkins, IL facility. This is a professional growth opportunity to work in a best-in-class chilled food processor known for the quality of its products.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
- Assist in posting job openings on various platforms and managing the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Conduct background checks and reference checks
- Manage E-Verify process for new hires
Onboarding
- Prepare new hire paperwork and coordinate orientation sessions
- Assist in creating and updating employee handbooks and onboarding materials
- Conduct new employee orientations in both English and Spanish
Offboarding
- Process terminations and resignations
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management
- Ensure all offboarding procedures are followed consistently
General HR Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Support HR initiatives and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field highly desired.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and E-Verify
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidentiality and attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
- May require occasional travel between company locations
