Santa Rosa Correctional Institution is the largest institution in Region One. We currently are looking for highly motivated individuals to fill the ranks. With no experience, necessary the FDC will pay for the training required by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). There are several courses you will be trained in like first aid, firearms, and defensive tactics to name a few. You will be overseeing and monitoring the activities of the inmates in living areas, recreation activities areas, dining areas and visitation areas. You will be coordinating and monitoring inmate movements, conducting counts and providing emergency response as needed. This is a career that requires teamwork. Because of the day to day teamwork you will build close-knit relationships with other officers.
**Minimum Qualifications:
-18 years’ old
- United States Citizen
-High School Graduate or equivalent
-Valid Driver’s License
-No Felony Convictions

-High school diploma, transcripts or equivalent non-certified copies are acceptable (some college transcripts are acceptable)
-Driver’s License

- Selective Service Registration or DD214 if applicable

-Past employment information for the past 3 years to include: place of employment, supervisor, contact information.
**PAY
- Correctional Officer $22 hour
- Criminal Justice Incentive Pay Maximum $130 month
- Uniform/Shoe Allowance - $325 Annually
