Required Qualifications / Essential Duties :
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 1 year experience in any gaming, regulatory, or investigative role.
- Must be suitable for a Gaming License within the Tribes jurisdiction and maintain throughout employment
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist as needed.
- Performs background investigation on employees, applicants, and vendor representatives to include review and interpretation of history and statements, criminal history and civil records, verifications of licensure, employment, and service in armed forces.
- Analyze records for vendor companies to include contracts, profit & loss statements, articles of incorporation, tax returns, balance sheets, organizational structures including parent and subsidiary relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of current Federal, State, Local, and Tribal laws pertaining to licensing and background investigations.
- Network with Tribal, Local, State, and Federal agencies for the purposes of verifying and documenting findings in each investigation.
- Ability to navigate internet search engines, online court systems, government and regulatory websites in a manner that will adequately provide or verify all information needed for investigations.
- Testify and / or present information and evidence for hearings regarding licensing sanctions imposed by the Gaming Commission.
- Finger printing applicants using a digital livescan, ensuring prints are clear, of quality, and submitted for processing
- Ability to prioritize and process caseloads to ensure deadlines are met while records and still process and held to applicable regulations.
- Ability to track, update, and notate all steps taken in investigations and reviews in the Licensing database including email communications, checklists, reports, and memos pertaining to each assigned record.
- Ensure all activities performed are in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Review applications for applicants and vendors and determine the appropriate investigatory process per Regulations.
- Organize and summarize findings of all investigations in applicable investigative reports and reviews in adherence with all regulations.
- Issue licenses to applicants and vendors, receives payment for licensing and investigation fees, documents and forwards as appropriate.
- Other duties as required.
- Drive company or personal vehicles to conduct business on behalf of the Backgrounds Department.

Starting Rate of Pay : $21.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)
Approximate Hours : 40 hours per week

Salary : $21
