What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Abuse Counselor II position at Santa Rosa Treatment Program?
Santa Rosa Treatment Program, one of the leading outpatient programs for treating Opiate Use Disorder, is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor II to join our team. Job duties include:
- Intake for all new clients admitting into the program, including assessment of current use and appropriateness for the program, review of substance abuse history, creation of individualized treatment plans and education on program policies and procedures.
- Incumbents in this class are expected to work more independently than Counselor I staff, and may be assigned more difficult clients.
- Might perform lead worker duties over a small staff assigned to a specialized program component.
- Providing referrals to community agencies and support groups.
- Maintaining charts in accordance with the California Department of Health standards, as well as other city, county, federal, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities standards.
Attending weekly required staff trainings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
