School Nurse - For Special Education - Beginning the 2025-2026 School Year

Under the direction of the Director of the Santa Ynez Valley Special Education Consortium the Nurse will be responsible for meeting the individual health care needs of students across the Santa Ynez Valley: incorporating health care plans directed by physicians: complying with the laws relating to students health, including parental and guardian consent: providing appropriate care of ill, medically fragile and/or injured students: providing health information, serving as a resource to teachers. staff, and administrators: and identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment. The compensation for the Nurse position will be based on the certificated salary schedule.

- $ 2,000.00 New Hire Signing Bonus For - School Nurse

- Retaining Bonus for 2 Years for a total of $ 6,000.00

- Possession of a current registered nurse license issued by the state of California.

- Possession of a credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizing performance of service as a school nurse or verification of qualifications to apply for a preliminary school nurse credential.

- A copy of your registered nurse license and credential or verification of qualifying must accompany your application.

- Bachelors Degree from accredited college/university is required.

- Knowledge of special education process requirements.

- Possession of a valid California Drivers License if required by the duties of the assignment.

- Fingerprint, TB Clearance

- Participate , in conjunction with Special Education Program, in the development of individualized educational programs ( IEP)
