Determines appropriate terms and conditions forcoverages and rates for program profitability. Contributes to the profitablegrowth of specific program(s) by maintaining pricing integrity, productexcellence, and the development of meaningful performance metrics andcontrols. Underwrites risk (i.e., selectionrejection of new and renewal business).Analyzes quality and quantity of risks underwritten and prepares reportsaccordingly. Administers and monitors underwriting rules and guidelines,rating manual rules, laws and regulations. _Essential FunctionsResponsibilities : _Spreads and analyzes financials, addressing industry risks, monitoringcollateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis,monitoring credit performance and assisting with loan presentations.Manages and services a portfolio of existing loan relationships. Expands and builds relationships with a high degree of resultant customersatisfaction. Handles reporting on loans such as past dues, documentation and collateralexceptions, financial performance updates, portfolio profitability, riskgrades, etc. Keeps informed of financial and market trends in the portfolio and analyzesthose trends for the effect they will have on the portfolio. _Qualifications : _ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. • commercialmiddle market companies.
• Skills and Abilities : _Strong and extensive financial analysis, structuring, underwriting andportfolio management skills.Skilled in proposing, negotiating and recommending credit and covenantstructures. Comfortable in customer contact situations including escalations and potentialwork-outloan restructure environments. Demonstrated practical and conceptual knowledge of credit and risk analysis. Demonstrated knowledge in financial modeling and able to structure credit in amodeling environment.Able to assist RMs on how to structure the credit relationship. Exhibits competency at independently reaching conclusions and forms clear viewof credit structure and business risk to organization. Solid understanding of industry nuances applicable to the credits containedwithin the groups portfolio. Solid knowledge of loan and related legal documents. Strong communication skills, and ability to influence others by persuasivelypresenting thoughts and ideas to gain commitment and agreement for proposedideas and solutions. Must demonstrate strong judgment and sound credit skills.
