Job Description
The Disaster Recovery and Resilience Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's ability to recover from disasters and other disruptions. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing disaster recovery strategies that minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of disaster recovery concepts, including data replication, storage, backups, and network routing. They will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, procedures, and runbooks in alignment with corporate guidelines and policies.
- Coordinate annual IT disaster recovery testing for on-premises applications and supporting infrastructure.
- Facilitate business testing during disaster recovery exercises to ensure high levels of resiliency for critical business data, systems, and operations.
- Support on-site DR testing as needed.
- Evaluate and remediate issues identified during disaster recovery testing, ensuring timely identification, communication, escalation, and resolution.
- Conduct regular debrief meetings with key Technology and Business stakeholders to review DR testing results, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
