AP / CP Board Certified Surgical Pathologist, Upper Midwest
Santé Consulting is representing a premier Pathology Group, our clients is a leading independent pathology service and cancer diagnostics company, they are seeking an AP / CP Board Certified Surgical Pathologist to join their Lab Consultancy operation in the Upper Midwest to join a team of 16 Pathologists and 5 PAs.
The practice serves a large hospital Health System, and numerous clinics and individual practitioners in their region. The position requires the ability to perform a broad-spectrum of pathology including complex surgical cases, frozen sections, bone marrows and fine-needle aspirates, gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytopathology and clinical laboratory duties.
The candidate must be willing to serve on hospital committees and be an active participant in interdisciplinary conferences. The candidate should also have the ability to work independently, have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with clinicians, administrators and laboratory staff.
Service Responsibilities :
- Covering services in one or more of the three main hospitals and six regional hospitals in the northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan area.
- Signing out surgical cases in a semi-subspecialty sign-out model.
- Interpreting intraoperative frozen sections and rapid on-site cytology evaluations.
- Presenting at general and / or specialty tumor boards.
- Serving as CLIA director for clinical laboratories.
- Participating in evening, weekend, & holiday call rotation shared among surgical pathologists.
