Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapy. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous (IV) medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures for blood draws as needed.
- Insert IV catheters and ensure proper placement and functioning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
- Monitor vital signs before, during, and after infusion therapy.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in ambulatory surgery center procedures as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion therapies, potential side effects, and aftercare.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in infusion nursing or related clinical settings preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes and infectious disease care.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Familiarity with sonography principles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
