Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care by administering intravenous (IV) therapies and medications, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various nursing specialties and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous medications and fluids according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and effectiveness of treatments, documenting findings accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication administration, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and any changes in condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures in the infusion area.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing or related fields such as ER, PICU, urgent care, or senior care is preferred.
- Proficiency in administering injections and managing IV therapy systems is essential.
- Previous experience in laboratory settings or critical care transport is a plus.
- Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to respond effectively to changing clinical situations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
