Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities. The Registered Nurse will play a critical role in enhancing patient care and outcomes through effective health coaching and education.
Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor patients during infusion treatments, observing for any adverse reactions or complications.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (Epic) while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion therapies, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain knowledge of medical imaging procedures as they relate to infusion therapy.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare professionals.
- Assist in the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in infusion therapy or related nursing fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong skills in health coaching and patient education are essential.
- Proficient understanding of medical imaging processes is desirable.
