Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Home Infusion professional to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering intravenous medications and therapies to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a home setting.
Duties
- Administer prescribed intravenous medications and therapies to patients in their homes.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications during infusion therapy.
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration, potential side effects, and care procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, medication administration, and any changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families during treatment.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license (RN or LPN) in good standing.
- Previous experience in home health care or infusion therapy is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognize changes in patient condition.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Familiarity with IV equipment and infusion pumps is desirable.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications in IV therapy are a plus.
