Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and delivering exceptional nursing care to patients of all ages, including toddlers and seniors.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage based on urgency and medical necessity.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, providing critical care transport when necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and other necessary procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, especially in cases involving infectious disease care.
- Advocate for patients' needs and preferences throughout their healthcare journey.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in critical care transport or inpatient settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of toddler care and senior care practices is a plus.
- Strong skills in triage, venipuncture, and managing infectious diseases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly Athenahealth or similar platforms.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
