Our client Santel Communications Cooperative located in Woonsocket, South Dakota, has a career opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on individual as their SENIOR ACCOUNTANT . In this role, the Senior Accountant will create and maintain the financial records and perform comprehensive bookkeeping support alongside the accounting team. Specific responsibilities include handling all accounts payable, cooperative capital credits, meticulously preparing ledgers and records using Part 32 accounting procedures, overseeing inventory, purchase orders and work orders, and efficiently processing payroll for the company.
Qualifications include 3 years of comprehensive hands-on experience in all areas of accounting along with processing payroll. The Senior Accountant role requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field. The ideal candidate will be able to act as a gatekeeper of financial spending, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Innovative Systems’ eLation Financials or similar, and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential. Strong communication skills and computer skills are necessary for someone to be successful in this position. Experience with cost separations or Uniform System of Accounts Part 32 Accounting is a plus.
