School Readiness Social-Emotional Coach Job Summary:
This position involves mentoring, coaching, and assisting teaching staff in the development, implementation, and ongoing assessment of quality child development and education practices.
Facilitate and lead a classroom 50% of the time, coaching school readiness outcomes for all children, and mentoring/coaching teaching staff in planning, organization, and delivery of developmentally appropriate practices.
Responsibilities include working with children developing typically and atypically. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in computer software.
A minimum of three to five years' experience in early childhood education is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Child Development/Human Development, or a related field. Evidence of data collection and analysis that improves children's school-readiness goals is essential.
In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. They should also possess knowledge of effectively working with adults and understanding how adults learn.
