Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Tribal Programs Administrator (TPA), Incumbent is responsible for planning and directing all utility activities for water, wastewater, and solid waste services working with the TUA Water Project Manager to ensure completion and start of new and current projects. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures, budgets, goals, and objectives for the Tribal Utilities department and other components within the department. Incumbent is also responsible for ensuring services to the community are consistent, efficient, and timely in the areas of water services, trash pick-up, recycling, plumbing, and other services related to piping, bathroom and sink replacements including billing issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, public administration, or urban planning; AND 4 years of experience in the construction industry, of which at least 2 years must have been in a supervisory capacity; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience managing people.
- Work may be performed outdoors with exposure to inclement weather. Prolonged standing, walking, bending and continuous lifting a minimum of 50lbs are required.
- Extended working hours, including weekends, may be required.
- Fluent in the Keres language preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background, fingerprint check, MVR check, and drug test.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the pueblo's insurance.

- Knowledge of tribal codes and regulations related to utilities.
- Ability to work well with others and coordinate with and other departments as deemed necessary.
- Ability to multitask, be organized and time managed. Ability to take direction well and carry out other duties as directed.
