What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Santora CPA Group?
Santora CPA Group, located in Newark, DE, is looking for a part-time experienced bookkeeper to handle a variety of clients’ bookkeeping needs. Candidates must be very proficient in ALL of the following areas:
- QuickBooks (desktop and on-line) – including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and accrual journal entries.
- Payroll processing and payroll taxes – experience utilizing QuickBooks and on-line payroll vendors such as PrimePay and ADP.
Some client work is done in our office, some remotely, and other work requires traveling to the client’s office. All clients are in the local New Castle County area.
Education and Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience handling ALL bookkeeping functions and responsibilities for a variety of companies. This includes A/P, A/R, writing checks, preparing journal entries, downloading and reconciling credit card invoices, and balance sheet and profit and loss statements.
- An Associate’s Degree in Accounting
Skills and Competencies:
- Certified in QuickBooks Pro
- Tech savvy with on-line payroll services, banking, and credit card companies
- Able to learn quickly
- Able to juggle a variety of clients
- Able to travel locally
- Able to produce accurate and timely work
- Able to be efficient with your time
- Possess take-charge and follow-through qualities requiring little direct supervision
