Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate accident, injury, and insurance claims to determine the validity and worth of the case.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support the client’s claim.
  • Communicate with clients to explain legal processes and provide updates on their cases.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies to maximize clients’ compensations.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments to support their case.
  • Conduct legal research to stay informed on personal injury laws and precedents.
  • Draft and file lawsuits in case negotiations do not lead to fair settlements.
  • Maintain detailed case files and documentation to ensure all legal requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Assess medical records and bills to determine the extent of damages for clients.
  • Provide clients with counsel on their rights and legal options throughout the process.
  • Engage in mediation or arbitration when required to resolve disputes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting personal injury cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the state bar association in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
  • Proven track record of successful case resolutions and negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures in personal injury cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a heavy caseload under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in courtroom litigation and trial experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills to deal with clients compassionately.
  • Commitment to continuing legal education and professional development.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working with insurance companies.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the healthcare system related to personal injuries.
