Santova Logistics a highly entrepreneurial international supply chain logistics business seeking Import Operations Agent (Ocean) to join our team in Los Angeles, California.
EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ experience in a freight forwarding industry (Ocean Imports)
- Proficiency in international freight forwarding operations, customer service, quoting, vendor management and US Government Compliance
- Creativity to develop solutions to exceed customer expectations
- Previous experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
- In depth knowledge and use of CargoWise is preferred
- Additional consideration to those that are certified as CargoWise Specialists or Professionals
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle end-to-end for all the operations for freight bookings, including document handling and creation (Supplier communication, order booking, freight management process, delivery)
- Act as a Client liaison and order handling / Client servicing
- Be able to handle direct quotations with the understanding of client and office tariffs
- Agent and partner communication and tracking throughout the shipment process
- Internal communications between offices/ clients on shipments
- Create and manage files in CargoWise
- Reconcile client and vendor invoicing
- Ensure systems are kept up to date throughout the process (CargoWise)
- Ensure processes are being adhered to throughout shipping process
- Understand and manage KPI
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
