Our drivers also operate on an 8 Hour Guarantee, meaning if you work safely and efficiently and complete your route before 8 hours you will still be paid for the full 8 hours! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates a company owned delivery vehicle on established or alternate route as scheduled.
- Delivering products in the most time-efficient safe manner and collecting signed delivery tickets.
- Performs pre and post truck inspections daily.
- Maintains the condition of the delivery truck including gas and keeping it clean.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all traffic rules and DOT regulations.
- Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries.
- Must be prepared to work in any traffic pattern, severe weather and strict deadlines according to our business needs.
- Will provide professional and courteous service to our customers and their staff at all times.
- When not on the road, associate will be responsible for pulling orders and helping to clean and maintain the warehouse.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- CDL B Preferred.
- 2 or more years driving experience preferred.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work independently, be responsible for route, and work unsupervised 90% of the time.
- Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Must be able to performance basic math operations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must have the ability to communicate in English to be able to communicate with customers.
- Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements
