The OPPORTUNITY
The Pre-Delivery Inspection / Attachments Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inspection, testing, and quality assurance of Heavy Construction Equipment machines and attachments before delivery to customers. This role ensures that all equipment meets company and industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations. They manage a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement in inspection processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties include :
- Leadership & Team Management :
- Supervise and lead a team of PDI inspectors and technicians, ensuring high-quality inspections.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills and maintain inspection standards.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure inspections are completed on schedule.
- Foster a safety-first culture and enforce compliance with workplace safety regulations
- Inspection & Quality Control :
- Oversee the inspection of machines and attachments to verify operational functionality, appearance, and safety compliance.
- Ensure that inspections align with manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and identify defects, malfunctions, or quality issues before delivery.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, checklists, and documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, service, and production teams to resolve non-conformances.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency :
- Develop and implement best practices to improve PDI efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for optimization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance inspection procedures and training programs.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for recurring issues.
- Initiative, anticipating needs / problems and voluntarily taking appropriate actions; assuming responsibility for work without being told; seeking out and willingly accepting tough assignments; looking for opportunities to contribute outside of primary area of responsibility.

Personal safety protective equipment is required.
