Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most transformative technologies of our time, and SAP Business AI is leading the way in embedding AI across enterprise applications to drive business innovation. As AI continues to reshape industries, SAP’s ability to clearly communicate its AI strategy, innovations, and customer impact is critical to our success.

An important part of SAP’s Business AI mission is to accelerate AI adoption across SAP’s enterprise applications and redefine business productivity. As the Business AI Portfolio Marketing Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the narrative that defines SAP’s leadership in AI-powered business transformation.

We are looking for a Portfolio Marketing Lead – Business AI to develop strategic narratives, launch messaging, and content for our Business AI portfolio that elevates SAP’s position in the AI market. This role will be responsible for crafting clear, compelling, and cohesive AI messaging & content that informs key launch moments, disclosure strategies, portfolio positioning, and high-impact event engagements.

The role will also be shaping SAP Business AI’s corporate voice—ensuring our AI story is consistently told across product launches, industry events, public relations (PR), analyst relations (AR), social media and key customer engagements.


The Role:

As the Portfolio Marketing Lead for Business AI, you will own the messaging architecture and naming nomenclature for SAP’s AI innovations, ensuring clarity and consistency across major marketing moments. You will partner closely with other focused Product Marketing colleagues, Communications, PR, AR, Social, Web and Events teams to shape and execute key narratives and content that defines SAP’s AI thought leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and refine SAP Business AI’s core messaging, positioning, reasons to believe and ensure alignment across all business units, product teams, and customer-facing content.

  • Create compelling narratives and messaging for product launches, disclosures, industry moments, and SAP’s flagship events that represent the Business AI portfolio in a differentiated way vs competitors.

  • Lead the strategic development of AI content that can be utilized across PR, AR, demand generation, and sales enablement initiatives. Be point for Business AI participation in corporate advertising and demand gen campaigns to drive the appropriate messaging, proof points and content for briefs and execution with agencies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI messaging is integrated across marketing, corporate storytelling, and customer communications at the portfolio level.

  • Partner with the Product Marketing team members to translate technical AI advancements into business-impact-driven narratives for enterprise audiences and identify customer stories and facts that can feed into our company narrative, earnings releases, and other high impact market interactions.

  • Support SAP’s AI marketing activations at key global events, ensuring a strong and consistent AI story across sessions, keynotes, and customer engagements.

  • Develop executive-ready content that can scale and used across multiple activations and field, including messaging briefs, event positioning documents, and talking points for AI-focused leadership discussions.

  • Ensure alignment between product marketing, analyst relations, and PR to maintain a consistent and compelling AI thought leadership voice and be point for launch “book of news” across the AI organization.

  • Collaborate across the Office of the CTO to identify and create broader opportunities for SAP AI thought leadership narrative that can lift our innovation perception across the US and in key markets.

  • Monitor AI market trends and competitive positioning and data, continuously refining SAP’s AI positioning and execution delivery based on industry shifts and customer insights.


Experience & Skills:

  • Strong storytelling abilities, with experience crafting clear, compelling narratives and content for complex AI and enterprise technology solutions.

  • Experience in corporate messaging, product marketing, and strategic communications, with a focus on AI, cloud, or enterprise software.

  • Expertise in positioning and messaging strategy, ensuring consistency across launches, events, PR, and AR initiatives.

  • Ability to synthesize technical concepts and transform them into high-impact, business-focused storytelling.

  • Cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, product, and corporate/central and executive teams.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering executive-ready content.

  • Understanding of AI market trends, customer needs, and enterprise software industry shifts to shape thought leadership content.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.


Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in product marketing, corporate communications, or executive messaging in enterprise technology.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).

  • Experience leading AI-focused messaging strategies for an enterprise SaaS or cloud-based company.

Compensation Range Transparency
: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 166500 - 282800(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
