This internship will work alongside our SMB Product Marketing team to create and communicate product and competitive messaging for our Small and Midsize Business segment. This role will focus on:

We focus on developing and executing strategies for SAP Concur products, messaging, and positioning within the Small and Mid-sized Business segment. We also work cross-functionally to plan and execute innovative go-to-market motions for the SAP Concur solutions, with the goal of maintaining category leadership and achieving pipeline, sales, adoption, retention, and growth objectives for each market unit.
We work closely with multiple organizations within SAP and SAP Concur, including solutions marketing, field marketing, pricing, pre-sales, sales, client success, and product management teams. While our team is US-based, we support teams globally throughout SAP Concur. Our team is agile, fun, and busy! We are consistently seeking feedback, making improvements, and adjusting to run our best.

Role
This internship will work alongside our SMB Product Marketing team to create and communicate product and competitive messaging for our Small and Midsize Business segment. This role will focus on:
- Competitive Upskilling Project – You will work with a member of our SMB Product Marketing team to execute a competitive upskilling program to increase the expertise of our global sales teams regarding competitors. This will include conducting competitive research, creating messaging and disseminating content to our sales teams in multiple formats
- Product Update Newsletter – You will assist our team in creating and sending upcoming product updates through our monthly SMB newsletter
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- Passion for marketing and ability to work collaboratively with leadership and other key stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong people and organizational competencies
- Effective time management and situational adaptability
- Experience with project management, including planning activities, managing plan execution, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Attentive to detail: supporting consistency with branding and messaging
- Education: Candidates must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program that is applicable to the position (Business, Marketing, Communications, or related area)
- Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program
